Summer Reading for Incoming Grade 7
1. Students are required to read a total of four books in summer, and of course you may read more books if you wish. Students will respond to each of the four books they read by completing an assignment index card for each of the four books. (See Chart below.)
2. Three of the four books should come from an author, series or title on the summer reading lists.
3. Select books of different genres on the list to expose yourself to a variety of kinds of writing.
4. The fourth book is a book of your choice. It could be from the list, or not, and it could be in graphic format.
5. Only one of the four books you read may be in graphic novel format.

1. Access PDS Sora in a web browser by visiting
