Why might you need to collect Search Words or Keywords for your topic? How will they be helpful?
As you read information about your Archeology Site, write down important words that you might look up.
Words might be names of the place that the archeology site can be found,
Words might be names of important cultures
Words might be names of important people

1. Look at the Cover of the Book - what is the title of the book? Is it about one archeological site or many? Why does this matter when you research?
2. Notice how information in the whole book is arranged by looking at the TABLE of CONTENTS, if there is one. Otherwise you might need to scan the book for clues as to how it is arranged.
3. How will you use the book to find information about your archeological site? Do you need an index or will you find it through a table of contents?
4. Once you find the pages in the print source about your archeological site, notice the information arranged?
5. Are there BOLD heading? Are there illustrations with CAPTIONS? Are there BOXES or other ways to separate information by topic?
